RaceRangers Build

Got all my parts ordered up for my 9". Cant wait to have it under the truck, going to build it over the course of next week. whent with a 5.67 ratio, should put me about 4k rpm at 70 and 5k at 80 not using overdrive. This set up is good to around 1200hp with the 35 spline axles, so i dont think i will be breaking this thing anytime soon.

Truck is lookin real good. Is it difficult to drive without the power steering pump on there?

its tough, but I plan on putting the pump back on and add a power steering box when I do the x-over steering set-up.

Are u going to add ram assist? Looks good man. When ya gunna link it?

probably not, but power steering will be alot better than manual though. I will hopefully link it sometime after huckfest. I have been thinking about doing a core style link setup like Steve Herrera's Race truck.

Cut the tubes for my housing, 3 1/4" o.d 3/8 wall. Quite Beefy.

Yeah pretty much, we shove the new tubes in a lot farther than stock though. Almost to the carrier bearings.

Whent to the Battle at Primm race last weekend, had an awesome time and def got me a lil more motivated on the ranger.

Got my shifter mounted and shifting correctly finally, also wired my fan and made a new sheet metal cover for the trans tunnel.

also did some more work to the housing today
