Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

i dunno man i hate owing ppl $ more then anybody but to save a grand in the long run i think id be begging borrowing or stealing the $400

Yeah in the long run i'd save soooo much...but i simply can't this soon. Maybe at the end of the month I'll start cruising craigslist and the TRS classifieds again.

One thing my dad taught me was to never search craigslist, newspaper, ebay, online stores, or go to stores of interest when you don't have money...you'll just end up spending away what you already don't have. I'm not about to borrow from anybody, and at this point not even myself.

So, in the meantime.....let the 4x4 fund continue refilling. All it needs is time...

How's that for anti-peer pressure and stubborn minded? lol

bitchin! thanks man :icon_thumby:

perception is key :icon_rofl:

:icon_rofl: yeah i guess so...

autotempest.com is the same thing but is for looking for cars. searches CL, eBay, Cars.com.. and many more. it's pretty awesome really if you're looking for something.

as for me, i live right below memphis but in north MS. so i'm on the borderline of two CL areas. so i love searchtempest.com.. saves so much time.

i live in a pretty good area for craigslisting as well.

i've sold and scored all kinds of crap on that site...its the best invention ever.

heck yes it is.....i scored two free explorer d-shafts as well as brand drums/shoes for my 8.8 for $45

just like the classifieds on here, it's all about timing......what you need, when you have a few dollars in your pocket

most of the times when you don't have any money is when good stuff shows up on craigslist. murphy's law i guess...

its funny, i was going on tirerack.com to order tires yesterday, and i had this weird feeling to check the local craigslist before ordering. lo and behold some guy is selling the 6 KM2's that I bought for the same price i was gonna pay for 4. talk about timing!

Another good Craigslist search tool is www.statewidelist.com

Its searches craigslist by state and you can specify to only show posts from today.

Pretty neat. :headbang:

http://completeoffroad.com/ was the cheapest i found on gears at one point in time... now remember 4wheelparts will price match!

idk if that'd help you or not?

I've bought stuff from complete offroad. They have a great customer service and superfast shipping.

I love the tires, glad you went with km2's you will really like them. Do you happen to know the DOT code? It's on the blackwall side next to the bead. Want to see where they were made, I might have built them :icon_thumby:

I have Motive gears in the rear and have not had problems with them. I would say 8-10k miles and no problems. Still look like new actually.

I'll check the DOT code out. They guy I bought them from bought them in December, so not sure how that relates to their actual age but they can't be very old. I can't wait to get them on, I'm just waiting for my wheels to show up on my door step.....that same day I'll take em down to get moutned.

Anybody know here to get some flat/gloss/chrome BLACK lug nuts?

If I switch to black lug nuts, the only chrome I'll have left is the rear bumper...and I intend to replace that with a custom black one later.

id try a tuner shop i used to work at a parts store in the city and everyone there had ricers with lugnuts of every color of the rainbow to match thier rims
