wow , i read this entire thread today , i must say , awesome work and keep it up

For what its worth, my understanding is you dont have to balance those tires. THey run pretty good up to 80 without. At least according to the tech I was reading, the same thingwith the new General Grabbers. And I think the Falken WildPeak A/T's Alot of the newer tires are not needing balanced due to technology, awesome truck bud.

I may toss them on the balancer once more to check them out but so far they've been awesome. I can see the drivers side rear wobble noticeably in my mirror but I can't feel a thing. The rims are straight so I think I'm just going to run them as is:headbang:

LOL sure you r mirror isnt wobbling? It may be some dust on the tire? I see that all the time, but you shouldnt have any issues with them. Best one to ask is wahlstrom though. He ran them for UA, he'll have the most input. Id recommend SHAY, but I haven't seen him in forever....

Hey Mikey, take 'em to your work, pull ALLLLLL the weights off them, break the bead on one side and throw approx. 8oz. of those 'air soft' bb's in each tire. Seriously. Works top notch AND you don't lose any balancing weights when wheelin'.

You know I was told the same thing about radiator fluid for a good balance and my wheel about hopped me off the side of the road, have you actually tried this?

Yep, been running my old style 33" MT/R's like this for about four months. Smooth as can be.

I can see the entire side wall move:D

I was going to do that, but use tire sand. You can get it in a bag and you just put it in the tire when you mount them. Bag disintegrates when you start driving. Haven't tried it personally but I know a couple guys that swear by that stuff in bigger tires.

I have a coworker that used to do a lot of car audio as a business so he's going to help me out with the install.

Change of plans on this one. I made a deal with him, I'm going to detail his F-150 and he will install the stereo in my Ranger. I know his truck is pretty dirty but I hate electrical so much that I know I got an awesome deal out of it:headbang:

On a lighter note I spent a bit after work BSing with Matt while he installed the CAI in his F-150. That means soon I'll go through the process of making it fit on the Ranger. I'll take lots of pics for you multi!

Going to work to get this in the truck by the end of the week. I'm stoked. I know it will have to go in upside down from how it went on the 5.4 but aside from making a couple brackets it looks like it is going to be simple.

Awesome. Make sure to take lots of pics, maybe make a tech library article out of it!

Yeah, I'm pretty much a genius or something... :D

So some fun news on the Ranger front today:annoyed: I went to go warm up my truck for a little bit, start it up and let it run. After a little while Gerry comes into the parts department and tells me I may want to go take a look at my truck. I step outside and see coolant dripping constantly from underneath the rad. I pop the hood and see what I feared, the core had separated from the tanks. Luckily I make a phone call and find a rad in town. He comes down to drop it off a while later and asks "Does your truck have the thick rad like this?" and I answer "It does now." So I'm going to try and get the rad in this week, should be a nice upgrade to the twin-core rad since when the PO did the body lift he left the rad in the stock location so it has no shroud. I thought as a 4.0L/AT my truck would have the thicker rad anyways but maybe since it doesn't have A/C I didn't get the bigger rad. Shouldn't be too much work but another nuisance thing. I'll be driving the Focus for the next little bit so don't expect too many updates.
