That looks b@d @$$ I love seeing something different in the cab. A lot of options out there

thanx guys, im goin to get more material soon. i plan on doin alot more in the cab with it (seats, doors, dash parts...)

joanne fabrics. but its called realtree ap camo, search yahoo or ebay. i found it cheaper on ebay.

Well, this just gave me a great idea for the time clock thing I put in my truck that mounts to my roof, its tan in color and everything else is blue.

How did you get it to go around all the curves of the 4wd push button cover so good? More details the better on all of this such as the adhesive and whatnot.

lol, that my friend is a trade secret. i work at an upholstery shop. the stuff is like t shirt material. it has some stretch. my advise is go to a local upholstery shop with the part and material and ask how much to cover it.

Thats kind of interesting, when your truck was broke down other members helped you figure it out, but someone wants to how to do something and its a "trade secret"?

its hard to explain. i could show you, i would cover it. but i can not explain it. the glue i use , you can not buy on the street.

Totally agree with you, why bother showing us if when we ask how you did it we get a no. Just because you cant buy the glue off the street doesnt mean I cant find it else where. Even if its not the exact glue, a recommendation of what to use would be nice. :icon_idea:

We like to see how you do stuff and the steps you went through involving how to get it done.:icon_thumby:

Second that.

well wire wheel the old stuff off , lay out new headliner material, go to an upholstert shop and get glue, do not use the stuff in airosole cans it will not hold. youll need a quart to do what i did. glue both sides. lay on and get rid of wrinkles. use a steamer ( the shark $30 bucks at walmart might work) steam out wrinkles. on little parts, you may not be able to get out wrinkles. im doin the dash pad and door armrests soon, ill need to sew them so it looks right look on youtube maybe they have something where someone shows you.

as i say trade secret, youll have to understand i work in a dying trade. not many people do what i do. and the amateurs make us look worse. as somethings are left to the professionals.
