Hey you guys....stupied re-question.....i forgot the answer to the last one...i'm still lookinfg for an old octagon barrel lever action rifle that i can hug while watching cowboy movies....anybody got one for sale that'll still shoot....being a machinist...I can tighten it up...looking to spend a couple hundred on one with a straight barrel--can be pitted, chipped stock, etc....as long as it'll fire safely....
Weapons are like lottery tickets........you only need one......just as long as it's the RIGHT ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no such thing as a cheap octagon lever action rifle...
Replicas are out there, and really not priced all that bad compared to an original. If you forget the octigon part, a Mossberg 464 will set you back $400 for a brand new gun. They took the best parts of the Marlin and Wincester and combined them into one gun... someday I am going to get me one.
