The second Ranger I've liked, since I did in my last one.

Well, the last one i went to look at was a pile of crap and it was a kid that owned it and tried to "pimp" it on the inside...with house paint. So i quickly walked away from that one. I found on when on facebook. Its a 1992 extended cab, short box, with the 4L and 5 speed 2WD. It has a box liner, A/C, C/C, CD player and sun roof as some perks. I think it has power windows and locks, that would be nice if it did, but I don't really care if it doesn't. It looks to be in good shape, and its fairly low mileage for a 1992, it only has 155000km, and its going for $3000. I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow. This is looking hopeful that I'm going to be in another Ranger and out of this Dakota.

Thats real clean man, it sure looks like its worth it, i like the clear marker lights in front too. Very sharp. It was repainted, the factory 2 tone continued up the fenders, but i like how they did it. Might be a let down on power with the 4-banger for you, esp with the extended cab. Overall it looks very nice, i would move on that. These vintage are really starting to rot away, at least around me. That body looks real good.

I agree, but he said 4L not 4cyl.

looks clean, and should have plenty off power with that 4.0 v6 and should be fun with the 5-speed, unlike my boring automatic

That is a sharp looking truck; it would definitely be worth getting if you like it.

I'm glad to see that you're looking for another Ranger, Shoeboy, because of the way you fixed up your last one was so impressive- that was a damn nice rebuild/restoration you had done. And you didn't kill that one yourself- some asshat ran you off the road, and thankfully you weren't hurt.

Good luck, dude, on getting back into an earlier-model Ranger. You can't go wrong with a good RBV.

Cool find. Decent price too. Those earlier Rangers-- especially the 4x4 models-- are hard to find at a good price. I saw a 1991 like that one that was almost mint with a canopy and 4x4 go for $6000.00. It was sold almost instantly.

whats not to like,go for it!

yah it looks really clean, just take a good look for rust repair (and especially shitty rust repair) since it's got new paint. my truck had about a gallon of bondo crammed into the rusty wheel wells and then it was painted over. it looked good till it fell apart...

Damn dude... sorry about the shitty wheel wells.

Shoeboy, we're gonna make fun of you if you don't go after that pickup.

You're definitely not going to find another one that clean anytime soon.

Just because it looks clean, doesn't mean it is clean, I don't even know how it sounds. It could need an engine for all I know. I'll go look at it in a few hours, I'll see how it is, and then I'll get back to you guys and let you know the details.

Nice truck, especially nice for our canadian winters,,rarely see that vintage around here,,,I like it but i would not own a two weel drive,,go for it

you'll like it, same as my truck basically.

Well, I went to look at it today, and I'm now debating it. It has been sitting for about a year in a field. It does have a pretty bad exhaust leak, and its has its fair share of oil leaks, but it does seem to run fairly well, and it does seem to have plenty of power. The only things that are little annoyances that will be fixed if I get it is; the cab/ box light leaks, the sunroof leaks, the A pillar trim is missing, and the headliner is sinking and has some holes in it. I'm going to talk to my boss tomorrow to see if I can bring it in, in the next few days to safety inspect it, and then make my final offer on it. Right now I'm thinking I'm going to offer $2400. Then even if I do get it, I have to see I can get rid of my Dakota...So, does anyone want to buy a 1991 Dakota with the 318 auto?

wow, for those little things id buy it, it looks awesome, i really would like some of those clear corners
