3" Suspension and 3" Body Lift 2004 4x4 Edge

Sorry funkingonutz.... I didn't mean for that to sound "harsh". But I agree with both of you, the older trucks are the way to go for lifts. I hate torsion bars personally.

Perhaps he is busy replacing his exploded cvs and trying to find his tires after they broke off and flew down the road. :icon_thumby:

i dont see how you've spent $6,000 on it already.

honestly, im not a big fan of body lifts. the only reason id ever have a use for one is for an engine swap. i think they make trucks look like sh1t!

ive had wheel adapters for years and havent had any problems. i did have the 1.25" adapters on the fron with stock suspension and 35s. i even drove across country like that twice. now i have the 5 on 4.5 to 5 on 5.5 on the rear with no probems so far.

i like how everyones trying to tell you how to build your truck and how much youve spent on it. i think its a nice truck man. build it how you want to build it and learn from your experiences with it. i got an 02 ranger with the edge package. i like the looks of yours and mite steal a few of your mods. good build and sharp looking truck. dont let anyone tell you how to build it. like i said before build the truck how you want it built.

You think anything but an SAS looks like shit.

spacers only really make a diffrence on carbs people just thought to try them on fuel injected engine for shiz and giggles. they can give you alittle more but not worth the money that you will spend. and it looks like you couls use some bigger tires. ok you could use spacers but the wheels you have on there are 15x7s right why not go with a 15x8 or abit bigger tire with 15x10 so you don't wear out thw middle when at road pressure cause a 12.5 is alittle big for a 7in rim. plus you can get 4in. or alittle less for backspace and they would fit good and do what you want. and you can make that money up by seeling those rims and prolly have money left over after buying the right ones

so you decide my opinions now?

i think A-Arm long travel with coilovers looks and performs best.

No, I observe them, Even in the 63" chevy swap thread you mock it for being a junkyard option. Not everybody has several grand to put into their suspensions and is as elite as yourself.

why not just get a set of long travel Deavers? oh ya, you cant find them in a junk yard!

Well, this thread is long dead... how did he get 6k into that truck? I'd be running locked tons/40's/links for that much.

Welll... he hasn't been back yet... but if he does come back... those cv's still alive? If so I want them dipped in gold and put on my wall.
