Have you got your JL's in place yet? If so, how they working for ya? Im in the midst actally, of trying to figure a new way to run my 12. Lost my license so my buddy had to drive to work and when we took the ranger....well it sucked riding b*tch in my own truck for one thing but I realized that I need some leg room.

no, i havent even had a chance to buy them yet! i had to get new tires for my truck since the tires i ran last summer were dry rotted and very out of round and unbalanceable (that was a really "bumpy" ride), and the tires i ran all winter were just that.. winter tires, and i didnt want to wear them out driving on hot, dry pavement for much longer. so far ive got 3 new 30x9.50x15 BFG A/Ts, just need to save up a little more to get the other 2 (i want to have a matching spare). but, my shoes decided to blow out in the middle of this spending spree so now ive gotta shell out $120 for a new pair of redwings http://www.redwingshoes.com/productdetails.aspx?prodid=1765. ill be sure to post up a pic or 2 of my final set up when i do get those JLs.

Cheap JBl 8" and a cheap Crunch 250w rms amp. Wasnt looking for super load bass. Sounds great inside exactly how I wanted it. You can turn it all the way up and can barely here it outside.

redwings for 120? Wow, your lucky. I work on a railroad and normal crap boots wont last but a few months on the rocks. My last pair of redwings ran 235. Hope you get the chance to get your subs soon. It sucks having no beat after you get used to it.

good shoes are hard to come by, my last red wings boots i bought were around the $250range, but they were the iron worker style with the steel toe, flat shop sole, and the long metatarsal guard. i wore them for 2 years when i was doing stationary welding, assembling the frame and boxes of rail road cars, they saved my feet from falling steel a couple of times (ive still got them and theyre still in wearable condition too!). when i started working for a smaller fab shop i found that they werent as comfortable because i was always climbing fixtures and kneeling down and those boots just werent built to bend like that so i got some lighter weight boots with the plastic safety toes. now i work in a parts store and the brake lathe dust and oil and chemicals are what wear my shoes out the fastest, that and constantly walking around chasing parts all day.

foxracin, i like your setup you got there. its hard to tell from the pics but im assuming that the box is in the ext cab portion of the truck? it looks very functional and ill bet it adds some nice ass to you music... i love my 8"s!

Mine flex purdy good but I dont lase mine up so my ankle can roll more. Feels better and I dont trip as much. I also like the box foxracin built. Purdy nifty how the top lifts up to reveal the goodies.

Its all actually in my Explorer. I built the box when I first got it to keep tools and spare parts and junk in and just added the sub and sealed off part of it for the sub.

Here are some better pics of the whole box.

switched to sonys

made a sub enclosure with the mtx amp, the sonys, and a JVC 12 disc changer and a Rockford Fosgate 1Farad capacitor. The enclosure bolts into the factory holes used for the rear seats so anytime I want I can just yank it back out and put in my seats and nobody would ever know the difference

haha, it depends on how much you want to pay :D If I had several people that wanted to buy them I would be more than willing to make them. To build another one off would be kind of a pain. This one took me about a month to do because I was doing it on my own time at my old upholstery job

after you posted these pics i knew remembered seeing that in another thread a while back, i guess i didnt realize it was in an explorer though. does it make alot of noise with all the equipment in there when youre driving or does the lid do a good job of deadening the sound?

Thats alot of work for some sony's. Through some DC Sound lab LVL 2 (would suggest a larger level but your setup is sealed.) with the blue dustcabs they have and get a bigger amp and thatll be killer.
