Sub Woofer's Lets See What You Got!

that is exactly true like if you look at my pictures my clairon srw1251 cost me like maybe 100 bucks and its a shallow mount sub and i had it running at over the rms and it hit 122db with a factory deck no bass boost or anything besides the amp. i originally had done a speaker wire to pre out and hooked that from my deck to my amp and i dont even remember how i put my remote wire, but it worked i could have the bass on my deck at the 0 then crank up the music and it would hit 122db and sound clear as day i loved it till i decided to turn my amp up to full power and play a bass tester and yeah managed to seperate the voice coil from the woofer itself it was awesome but i am sad that i just have one now

ill post a picture of the sub you can see straight through it. It will be in my pictures so check it and tell me what you think haha, 1200w on a sub thats supposed to be 400w rms 800w peak so yeah a lil bit done. they wouldnt even warranty it, they sent it away and got a letter back from clairion saying we cannot warranty this sub it has been completly destroyed, when i heard that i was pumped and pissed

My system was 2 rockford fosgate p2 punchs with a kenwood x1200m which put out to much power popped my back window out and if you look at my pictures the box with the carpet on it is the one that was the one that popped my back window out i have some videos with lower powered subs but it is not the same. I had just a dual ported box going across the whole back and yeah it was intense it made my girlfriend get out of my truck and walk 2 miles. you just gotta watch what you buy and check the specifics on how the subs should be mounted, the rms and everything else. and if you get what is right for your subs it shouldnt make a diff how shitty the amp or how low powered the subs it will still pound like there is no tomorrow

Ill be the first to call BS on this. P2s will never blow the window out of anything....PERIOD. What VC config were those P2s? What was your electrical? it takes alot more than 1200 watts to blow windows. and it doesnt matter if the amp is shitty or now?! dude are you for real. My sundown amp will murder any Sony amp any day of the week. quality amps are rated right...Sony amps are garbage as well as all the other "flea market" brands. Quality is quality. garbage is garbage. And you can in fact power a lower powered sub with a high powered amp...you just have to be samrt about it and sent your amp up right.

I have a pioneer H/U...4 infiniti kappa 5x7 speakers...2 10" inifiti reference subs...ported wally world box sealed up...profile 1000w 2ch amp...sounds bangin in my ext cab

think about it its a 2 channel 2400w amp and it doesnt say bridged on any of the reviews but i bridged mine and it was alot more powerful than i thought it would be

um....that is a MONO block amp....which is a 1 channel amp. granted it does have 4 spots for speaker wire but those come together internally in the amp. This is for ease of wiring. Some people kno a lil bit more than you think we do bout car audio so dont come in here saying you blew windows out with 1200 watts.

Got a quick question. I already know how most of you feel about cheaper brands such as sony or low level pioneers bla bla. I currently run two sony 10's in a down fire box in my ex-cab GMC. I beleive the shared volume of box is around 1.8"? Anyways, for WHAT I PAID...I love the sony's and have lasted for over 5 years of beating. They are getting purdy sloppy now and even though they still sound purdy darn good, looking to upgrade to somthing else that will shine in a smaller compartment. Anyone have any suggestions? Besides burning my GMC and my sony's and stuff like that Ha.

Not really going to go into the whole audio thing, but just recently threw my setup into my B4000 so figured I'd post.

Running a PPI PC2600 bridged into a 4ohm loaded set of 12" Kicker Competitions in the factory Kicker sub box. Amp puts out a rated 600wrms in this setting, and has a THD of about 0.02%. Anyway, my subs sound nice n clean, even with sloppy bass, now I just need to replace the factory speakers to fill out the range. They're all driven by a 2006 model Sony CDX-GT06HP, nothing fancy, but had a front Aux I wanted for my MP3 player and was only $20.

Box is just sitting behind the seats with a couple bricks supporting the front atm. Wish it was a little shorter though so I could use the privacy cover to hide it all. Total invested in amp+subs = $150.

Nothing special.. just an amp and a box stuffed in there. Still need to hide the wires, get proper supports for the box. Damn carpet on top of the box got messed up from my amp sliding around on it after it got wet (left windows open in the rain).

i finally got my JL subs installed and they sound great and look clean. they defiantley pack a nice punch for their small size and they deliver much better bass in the sealed boxes than the kenwood i had in the band pass box.
