Looking in to doing a 302 swap, NEED info???

The 88400's are these correct???
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/88400/10002/-1 As far as a radiator, would a 5.0 foxbody one fit ok? Oh yea something else is th fuel pump, my truck is a 90' 2.3, IF I used efi from a foxbody, could I use my current fuel pump? If I can I would like to. And the acc. , are they hard to adapt?

P.S.- Thank all you guys for all your input, I really appreciate it!!!!!!!!

Yea, 88400's. There are a few here and on the RPS site who have used those successfully. Fox radiator won't fit without major surgery. Can't advise you on the fuel pump. Accessories ? Want to be more specific ?

as far as accessorys PS pump, Alt., ect., I have heard that the explorer/ranger 4.0 rad can cool the 302, would that work with big enough electric fans? If not that then what would be a good radiator? I really don't have a budget to buy a 4 core brand new.

In order to not have to move the radiator up inside the radiator support, you'll need to use Explorer/Mountaineer or the 88 93 T-Bird/Cougar or the 94-95 Stang FEAD

So the easiest rad to swap would be a t-bird/cougar or second gen 5.0 stang, or second gen explorer. The reason I ask about the explorer 4.0 radiator is because I know where I might be able to get one cheap

Anywaysthe more, and more I think about it, I'm figuiring I might go with an AOD tranny w/ a cheap floor shifter. What do you think?

Unless you REALLY need the overdrive, I wouldn't bother with the AOD in stock form. A lentech valvebody will re-route the fluids to allow a 1-2-D/OD shift pattern vs. the 1-D-OD (uses a solenoid and switch for OD). The inner input shaft responsible for the direct drive of 3rd and 4th is also a weak point. When shifting hard from a torque converter powered 2nd gear to a direct drive 3rd gear, you can snap the shaft. A lentech valvebody will hold 1st and reverse bands (which allows 3rd gear to be powered by the outer torque converter shaft) but your overdrive is still weak.

I chose a C4 because its smaller, lighter, and draws about 18-20 hp instead of the AOD's bloodsucking 55-60!

Well the reason I want to use an AOD is because this truck will be a DD, and I don't want to go screaming down the highway at 3,000 Rpms. If I could overcome the high RPM issue, with out a doubt I would go find a C4(I have a friend that might sell me one) and use it. What If I got 3.08 gears, and put em' in my 7.5? I know that it would slow down acceleration, but its a comprimise.

The AOD in my 85 F-100 shifts fine 1-2-D-OD at 45mph..........

Well, I found out more info on the motor, it's an 85-90ish 302 motor, and it possibly has cleveland heads(Boss 302), and correct me if I wrong but cleveland heads have a different exhaust header bolt pattern than windsor heads, so I looked on jegs and looked some headers, here's on set I thought about http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/88220/10002/-1?parentProductId=744779 they are for a 71-73 mustang w/ a 351 cleveland, do you think It'll work???

Trust me, it doesn't have Boss 302 heads. But look at the valve covers anyway. Windsors have 6 bolts holding the covers to the heads. Clevelands have 8. 85-90's should be a roller block, but depending on what it's originally out of, may or may not have a roller cam.

I meant manual shifting. If you're running a stock valve body, the only way you can hold 2nd gear is by selecting 1, revving it out and then selecting D and then timing it perfect back to 1. You can hold second, but its a lot of stress on the trans. Otherwise, manual selection is 1-D-OD.
