Why ford is dissing the ranger

I just do not see that thing having that big of a share of the market honestly anyways. If any one buys them.Odds are it'll be upper class folks for the most part. A small market will be middle class I'm sure. I'm sure if my wife see this thing.She'll try and tell me lets trade the Ranger in for that thing. That is when I ask for a divorce and custody of the truck!

Almost ( it's stressed as almost ) everything here has been an opinion.Like reviews from owners of that truck. Those are opinions! Like my opinion of the Ranger.It's an opinion!

Smart cars lol. My neighbor had one. Goofy little thing,but great on gas. Just god help you if you get in an accident in it.

That is why I purchased a used Ranger.I agree, a New Ranger price is more than it should be.

I just do not see people that own American trucks trading in their truck for it.At least not in large numbers. I can how ever see Titan owners and so forth trading in for it and or diesel owners do it.

or sport trac owners..... or anybody else that has been pining away for a compact pick up with a Turbo Diesel........

You want to buy a Ranger then buy a Ranger ...... I want a compact crew cab with a turbo diesel...... Mahindra is the only company with that offering ....



I am going to add ...... I hate everything about Europe, I hate most things about any Socialist country ........ but having been in other places in the world and seen what the rest of the world has to offer automotive wise ...... We are well behind the 8 ball....... Any other country in the world 4 cyl turbo diesels are the rule, not the exception ......

I hate the sports trac. That was a bad idea from the get go. I wish Ford would stop being douches and offer the diesel Ranger here. They would sell the hell out of em I bet. I wouldn't get one myself seeing as I don't need that amount of power.

Diesel has a stigma in the US. They wouldn't sell and the infrastructure for diesel fuel makes it too inconvenient for the average US consumer.

You're a lucky man. I haul fuel around NY and western PA and only a small percentage carry diesel unless you are right at a Thruway exit.
