Well I don't know how many people of you follow my build thread but I built a tiregate for my truck. Also my friend came over this weekend and we built a bumper and swing out tire carrier for his jeep. Enjoy the pictures.

Nice!! Does it fold down like a tailgate or swing out like the jeeps?

i been wanting to do something like that to mine how did you make it. i was trying to design one that swings out but havent had time yet to build

that looks sweet I have been thinking of building one but have yet. Do you have more pics of your hinges and what degree of lean do you have on that tire? Also do you notice any bedside flex when it swings open, Im kinda fearful of cracking my fiberglass bedsides.

i'm diggin' the carrier on your ranger. looks real clean but tough.

Nothing on my tiregate is attached to my bed so I don't have to worry about it flexing my bedsides. Everything is on mine is attached to my bumper.

Nice work, I think he ment does it fold down flat which from what i cna see it deosn't but good work non the less.

Do you have any pics of the building of the jeep tire carrier? The Ranger Looks awsome with that set up btw

I have a couple of random pictures of it but nothing to spectacular, I can post them if you want.

looks sick. i would have built it lower but, nice work.

Yeah if you could post them, I was wondering what you used for the pivot on the jeep one and then for the locking device. Thanks

That is the locking device we used. We had to modify it a little bit to make sure it stays closed though.

The pivot point is a 1 inch by like 7 inch bolt with a half inch or so thick sleeve over it. with a 1/2 inch thick piece of angle over the top welded to the bumper.

Here are the rest of my pictures
