8.8 w/ 3.73 gears and a L/S , the right everything this time

4.0 OHV

screen for behind the grille

shes got a soft tire

sitting low and crooked in the driveway

smoothed out the RuffStuff Diff cover ( the 4.5" with sanding wheel works wonders)

stripped the axle down

my pretty 3.73 L/S ( ratio stamped into both the ring and pinion gears )

the soft tire ( was on the red truck for a week , no problem , 2 days on the blue one , soft )

i got her goin again today , new rear axle , 4x4 works great , took the back rack off for now , and i figured out the gear ratio that was in the other rear end


4.56's !!!!!!!!!!!!! , lucky thing i did not blow the t-case when i tried the 4x4

well i got the 5R55E rebuilt , new friction plates , steel plates , gaskets , check balls , did alot of work , workin on taking the 4R44E out of the truck right now , if i post new pics they will be the crappy cell phone type

engine is coming out ths week , will take some pics , i am building the 4.0 for it , and a friend of mine is building my 3.0 , which is gonna be for sale

Nice progress (though I would say build...), hope you don't have too much more bad luck with that thing, otherwise you might want to sell it and buy another...

Lookin good so far...Whats the plans for the 4.0L?? Gonna put stronger internals in it?? I'd put roller cam with roller lifters and full roller rockers to improve efficiency of the motor (better efficiency=better fuel mileage), maybe some forged rods and pistons, might as well bulletproof the bottom end
