So my donor ranger (2002 broken frame) has a limited slip differential and the ranger I’ve been fixing up (4.0L sohc thread) has an open differential. So today I started the swap. Got the rear end out of the 2002 and into the bed of the 2006. I’ll take it into the weld lab to clean it up and inspect it at some point, but I’m sure between the two of them I’ll probably end up getting new drums/pads etc. I’ve got new leafs and shocks for the red Ranger I’m gonna put in too at some point.

Should be pretty straight forward, just make sure the ratios match (first part of the bottom row on the axle tag on a cover bolt but worst case is swapping the front diffs which is an afternoon project...

Yup, they are both 4.10s So as long the limited slip one I pulled isn’t jacked up it should be simple.
