Between you already not liking how it looks, and not liking hood pins... I doubt I would get lucky enough for them to whistle too.

I was going to say if the hood pins whistle I would at least hear you coming.

But if you are going to actually do donuts you would have to have the GMC so that kind of defeats the early warning...

The G bomb in my K3500 dually surprisingly works perfectly. 14 bolt full float axle. Rest of it suffers the usual GM curses…

Transmission is already a jasper.

The odometer just says ERROR

Ac compressor is frozen, seats are shot, rockers are rust killer, spray foam and bondo.

Rear leaf springs collapse when you sit on the tailgate.

K3500 zero rust.
K1500 Z71 can put my finger through the frame under the firewall, rear axle tubes are crunchy, outer rockers are gone, rotten cab corner, doors held shut with gate hasps and padlocks…

Regardless, these days, you can get anodized or powder coated hood pins. They won't rust. Me, probably going to put some on mine. I actually like them. But I'm 65, had them on many vehicles back in the late 70's through the early 90's.

It's super common with "mom's honda with a fart cannon" in the mid Atlantic. The only cars you see with them are shitboxes with absolutely no effort put into them.
