What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

I finished the differential install yesterday and got everything buttoned up underneath the truck. Next is getting the knuckles installed, weather permitting. I have and alignment kit on order that should be here Saturday. I just have to figure out what degrees equals out to in inch measurements.

The shocks also came in the day before. So, those can go on after I'm done monkeying with the front of the truck.

Well, the left side is back together. It was a bit of an adventure. In order for the knuckle to go back on, the wheel bearing MUST be removed from the knuckle. So I had to strip the whole thing down so I could get it bolted back on the truck. Reason being, there is not enough clearance between the end of the CV shaft the the lower control arm to allow the lower ball joint to be inserted into it's hole with the bearing in place. With the bearing out, it wasn't a problem.

Bare knuckle.

The rain is in the forecast all day tomorrow. So, it may be more trailer wheel painting. Plus, it's pay day. So, bills need paid.

I’ve stopped paying my bills so I can buy more parts for the Ranger. It’s a disease at this point.

The right knuckle got installed last evening after work. The wheel bearing and brakes need to be installed yet. Being that it was getting dark and the socket on the torque wrench had slipped off and almost caused my finger tip to be split in two on the edge of the brake shield, I called it a night.

I need to pay bills and get some oil and a filter for the thing since it is due for it's Spring oil change. That, and I'm out of shop towels. Since it is due now and it is on jack stands, this is the perfect time to get it done. I also need to assess the miles accumulated since my daily work commute is about 68 miles a day, round trip. Oil change frequency may need to be adjusted as a result.

I just change mine every 5000 miles, which for me is about every three months. And add a bottle of Chevron Techron to the gas.
Lately I've been using Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 with a Mobil 1 M1-209A filter (FL-400S equivalent).

Up until the new job, I've been at or less than 5,000 miles every six months but my daily commute has more than doubled (28 miles vs 78 miles round trip).

Chevron Techron has been done every oil change.

Valvoline Restore and Protect is something I've only started using. O'Reily's had a deal with that and a K&N filter. So I went with the HP-2009 (FL-400s equivalent). Advance and AutoZone only offered deals with their in house brand filters for some reason, with no option for a better filter, even with an up charge.

The front end is back together. I'll get the oil change and the shocks replaced tomorrow and take it on a test drive to see how I did on the alignment and if the rear shocks fixed the vibration issue.
