About to start front suspension rebuild

That's the pump straining against the bump stops. Perfectly normal for Fords. If it does it all the time you have problems. That noise is the reason people convert to EPAS or use a different pump.

What about the other knocking noise, when the engine is not running and I am twisting the steering wheel back and forth you hear a hit or knock sound (when the vid starts). Is the steering rack shot?

Sounds like something with play in it. Hard to say, how are your tie rod ends? Really need someone else to wiggle the steering while you inspect from top to bottom to find what's loose.

I just finished front suspension job new UPA, LCA new bushings, inner/outer tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links, shocks. All was good after a road test. But I didn't wiggle the steering wheel then, I can't say of this knocking sound was still there or not. I will get someone to assist.

As to the seals, if you are going to have it all apart to replace the front crankshaft seal, you might as well replace the auxiliary shaft and camshaft seals. You'll have to take the timing belt off anyway, so it's a good opportunity to replace it even if it looks okay. And the timing belt pulley and tensioner.

My 2008 needs to have this done. From what I've gathered, this should be relatively simple as long as the bolts are good. Is that right? My truck is a Southern (US) truck, so not much rust beyond surface rust, if that.

I will order:
- front UCA & LCA, both sides, pre-loaded with bushings & ball joints.
- Sway bar end links and front bushings
- New springs & shocks
- New steering rack, filter, new hoses, new pump, rack has inner tie rod ends,
- Outer tie rod ends

Those camber adjustment bolts...
Are these the right ones?

Took the truck to an indie shop but after 3 attempts the truck is pulling slightly to the right. They didn't adjust the passenger side LCA rear camber bolt for whatever reason, but I mostly sus they had no clue what to do with it. It's still askew from when I installed it. I am wondering if I adjust it to where it was, will it throw off the alignment?
Here are the alignment results, does this look aok cos I don't know how to read this and make sense of it.

@Lil Work Truck,

Yes, those are the ones I used on my ‘07 2.3 coil spring truck.

They look the same. RA is pretty accurate if they say those are the ones. I used these here and they fit.
BTW Someone cautioned me against moog bushings, that they have turned into cheapy chineseums-read thro' this post to see their thoughts if you are interested.
Anyway good luck on this fun project.

Maybe me, but that camber/caster seems like it could cause a little pull.
