I don't quite understand that math. I am guessing you stated there where 324 FX4 Level IIs made because there where 324 with the ebony/red seats. Those seats also came with the L IIs with automatic transmissions with the electronic shift transfer case. So, maybe the 324 were just the bright red 2003 L IIs with ebony/red seats. That is some very fuzzy math to assume the same number of 2003 L II Rangers were sold in each color and each color had the same number of manual transmissions/transfer cases.
Apparently, you were trying to come up with a way to get an estimate of the number of manual transfer cases made in 2003. Not a bad idea, but I would be very surprised if it was anywhere near close. Just too many variables. It still shows they are pretty uncommon which is a bad thing for us if we need parts associated with specifically for the manual transfer case.
