Emission light reset box location in 86 ranger XLT??

I’ve been under my dash and all over the world and I cannot find this thing!

Never heard of it.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 or 20 minutes.

I've never messed with it but the Chilton manual says it's above the glove box.

Sounds like something I would have to remove to make room for more burritos.

I'd forgotten where I read about this thing but it turned out it was in the manual where I'd been reading through some things just for laughs. It actually measures key on time and trips after 2000 hours. Assumes 30 mph average speed so 2k x 30 equals 60,000 miles.

Thank you very much. I will attempt to do this tomorrow morning because the light annoys me and I’ve already taken my buzzer out which is directly above my glove box latch retina center now I’ll just remove the glove box and search for the emissions light reset module.
