I opened the back door to let Marley out and saw what I thought was a stick behind my tire, and quickly realized it was a snake. It saw me, slithered around to the front of the tire, and went up into the axle.

Yay me.

That's the strangest Ranger I've ever seen.

My dog was barking like a lunatic this morning and this danger noodle was outside the front door. He's sleeping now.

Marley walk right past it.

I'm guessing it's a rat snake? I don't like that it went up into my axle, but atleast it will keep mice out.

Jim, yours probably was a rat snake. Definitely it was nonvenomous.

Snatchsquatch's find, on the other hand...

A month or so back I was repairing a support wire for my cheap greenhouse just behind the house and almost put my hand on a nonvenomous corn snake. It was caught in some old netting I had intended to pick up and reuse on planters. I didn't harm the snake, but picked up it and the netting and carried it elsewhere. That was after recovering from my heart attack, of course.

It wasn't half an hour later and she started barking at another rattler in the same exact spot. She got praised and got treats. Now she's glaring out the door looking for another one to bark at lol

How do I get this thing out of my car? Not sure if it's still up in the suspension or if it found it's way inside.

It may not be poisonous but it can still bite you if it's cornered.

I'd probably just take it for a drive down a nice bumpy road. I live off grid up in the mountains so all of the roads here are bumpy and rocky. Good time to was the undercarriage with a pressure washer?

It was up in there before I could get a rake. Used the 'jet' setting on my garden hose and sprayed under there. No reaction.

UGH!!

I started the car and let it run. The snake came out and went up inside this corner of my house.

I was going to take a rake and relocate it, but now I'm killing this fawker if I get the chance.

.38 special with rat shot works well. I have an overabundance of packrats that like to try to destroy everything I own so I load my own.

And there's a skinnier yellow one caught in the storm door!

I still think you need a mongoose...
