What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Actually I had to hop in the wife's minivan and drive to Harbor Freight for a new one today. My old one wasn't transferring anything and I'd already drained the rear axle.

I may need to pick one of those up for the Escape. The "cap" on the one I have looks like it is too big for the standard cap thread on a gear oil bottle but might fit on a Mercon bottle.

I got my SVC control arms and tie rods today. I’ll have to open up the box and take some pics when I get home.

Easy peezy. The hoses come way longer than you need so I cut them down.

I updated the build thread but the short version is that I changed the transmission fluid and filter and installed a MBS dipstick, changed the transfer case fluid, and the rear axle gear oil.

While the truck was up in the air, I dropped the "skid plate" for the fuel tank. It was surprisingly clean under there unlike the others up front.

I also posted up some pictures for the bumper repair/upgrade and the Softopper and canvas cage.

Got a front end alignment done. While it won't effect the alignment, it looks like the lower ball joints are starting to go. I'll have to start research in what the job requires. Hopefully, just the ball joints themselves can be replaced but the shop I was at was calling for the whole lower control arm to be replaced, according to their computer system.

I picked one of those up while I was at Advance getting rid of used oil.

I was sitting in bed, living with insomnia and not sleeping, but thinking about truck stuff and how everyone is always complaining about the auto stop / start. And i was going over forscan stuff too because i was messing with it yesterday on my truck and a 2013 f150 foe a kid from texas a&m.

Anyways, everyone wants all the other transmission setting activated and you do that by going to the abs module and selecting each setting and hitting enable and write.

but, we cannot find auto stop / start to disable.

And alot of people said they just start their truck and immediately put it in sport since sport deactivates auto stop / start and they like the shifting better. For one, you are not in 10th gear at 38mph.

So, if people go into forscan and disable normal mode in the abs module, not only do they not have to hit the ass button, but they automatically should start in sport mode.

What do you guys think?

I feel like if it was that simple, it'd already be common. I'd like to know your results if/when you try it though.

Changed the transfer case lube. I did the axles and transfer case at 30k, now again at 90k.
Surprisingly the t-case lube drained out black while the axles were pretty clean.

That Mercon LV and ULV turns dark fast. Not a real reassuring thing.

I took advantage of the unexpected good weather and gave the truck a bath. The weather continued to hold. So, I cleaned the vinyl floor as well. That was well over due. Yuck!

I dont drive in sport is my problem for that test. I thought about trying and then just turning it back on but i thought ight of something else... mine goes from normal to eco than to sport so people might have to disable two settings to start in sport.

I run my 20 in tow mode. I like the shift patterns and it disables the AS/S. It shift a little harder and down shifts when coasting down hills to hold speed. I haven't played with forscan on the truck. I plan on getting the TM equipped 4wd selector switch and adding the offroad screens. Just haven't got around to it yet in almost 5 years haha.

You know whats funny is my truck is a 2wd but i have the off road screen. I think all the 24 and newer do. Not the off road maps but there is a screen called off road which has three more gauges, boost, trans temp, and oil temp

Swapped vehicles with my son today. He needs to get a load or two of gravel for a French drain he's putting in. I told him to take pics. I guess I like that factory bedliner after all.
I have his Subaru Impreza and already washed it.
