Finding seats like this at a junkyard is a gem. Too bad they're red.

i would put them in my rig if they were close.

Dude! Those seats, a cassette of whitesnake & a mullet on Saturday night. Sábado Gigante
Keep crawling.

Not matching didn't bother the last guy...

I have the same ones in my truck but they are gray. With a cheap tan ebay seat cover they look fine, I really like them. Comfortable seats that fit in a standard cab well are very hard to find.

Take'em to a good auto upholstery shop and have them recovered. Had the seats in my '02 Ranger XLT redone along with the headliner, console, and sunvisors. One of the best bucks spent on this truck.
That's what I plan on doing with my truck.

you think if i took my factory ranger seats to an upholster they can make em look red and like those other red ones ?

^Absolutely! $$$

If you hunt around online you might be able to find someplace that sells replacement upholstery. Install them yourself on your existing seat foams to save some money.

When I replaced the seat in my 68 I did a little different. I replaced the original worn out seat with a more comfortable bench from an early 90s F-150. Dodn;t find on in both the right color (red) and good shape, so I went for the good shape. Since I don't yet know what eventual color is going to be I'm not paying for upholstery. Instead I bought a fitted seat cover to install and it turned out great considering. At a glance you won;t even know that it's a blue/gray seat under there.

interesting i wonder how much that would cost

25 years ago I could get a bench seat recovered for $99, had it done on my 84 Ranger. Today you're looking at atleast a few hundred for basic materials on a bench, a fair more for split-bench/buckets and better materials.

I know that people getting the seat swap I mentioned above on my F-100 is fairly common, and I've seen many reports of near $1k to get those seats recovered in materials and stitching styles/patterns that match the older trucks style.

It's almost cheaper to find and swap in different model seats that you like. I can get a decent set of Mustang buckets for around $500 locally and be more comfortable (IMO) & supportive than a stock Ranger seat for my planned usage. That's probasbly what I'm going to do eventually for my '99.

I will have to buy seats for my future older ('85) Ranger restomod. It was originally a bucket seat truck that someone swapped a bench into, and that bench is thrashed. I could pay near 1k to get something from a later Ranger reupholstered, or I could pay around $1500 to get a set of freshly reupholstered Recaros imported. I'd go for the Recaros. Instead I'll end up going more expensive. I found a setof FloFits as used in the 88/89 Saleen Rangers and earlier Saleen Fox Mustangs for about $400 locally, and I'll probably eventually spend close to $1k getting them reupholstered along with the rest of the interior. For now they're going into the '99 as is for safe keeping.
