Started by taking the bed off, all the bolts came out without much fuss other than the one right behind the cab on the driver's side.. that one needed the whizz wheel. Kind of a shame really.. the previous owner must've replaced all the bolts at some point because apart from the one I cut they were all nice and clean. Hate to have to buy a whole set just for one..
Also got the rear driver's side body mount bracket off the frame and the bolt and stuff from out of the cab.. not much fuss with the bolt but I lit the blanket I draped over the fuel tank on fire grinding the rivets off lol.
Found a bit more rust that'll need attention once the bed was off.. nothing too terrible though.
Happy with the progress I made anyways. Need to drop the tank to get the new body mount on.. and I'm heavily considering putting a fuel cell in it.. either try and find one that'll fit where the spare should go or just bolt one into the bed. Considering I'm building a bit of a sport truck I really think the change in weight distribution would be well worth the expense and effort.
I just pulled my bed of and got new hdwr. I'll mail you one of the forward bolts if you dm me an address
Duh, I drive this thing 10 times a week, it just never registered in my brain. It’s kind of hidden behind the steering wheel I guess.

Today I did a hand wash using a Blackfire clay mitt, followed by a buff using Meguiars ultimate compound on my DA and topped with Klasse all-in-one. Yesterday I installed the all metal chrome tailgate handle, metal chrome door handles and 06 up mirrors with chrome caps. Tomorrow I am installing the new leaf spring shackles and rear differential service or I would have had some outside pictures. Pictures also include the bed rails that I restored with Turtle Wax Acrylic hybrid solutions trim restorer. I was also able to source the bolt head covers from Menards since I had a few missing, I replaced them all so they would match (no OCD here). They fit but all did not snap on like the originals, just a few did, so I used a little black RTV to secure them. Ignore the CHMSL, LED's from Diode Dynamics should be here tomorrow for it, as well as the dome light.
Forgot to mention when, but it was a couple weeks ago, but I removed the silver pinstripe that was deteriorating and polished the glass with some 0000 steel wool and foaming glass cleaner.

That sounds like a lot of work… I powerwashed some more of the mud off the underside of my truck that’s been there since the Kentucky trip last year.
I set 2 yard sprinklers under mine after the trips. I would recommend moving it into the yard. It's surprising how much mud drips out.I finally dumped the then mud, now dirt off the transfer case skid plate the other day when I did the oil change. That should be the last of the major mud build up from LBL. There is still some jammed up in some of the cross members but didn't feel motivated enough to try and fish it out.
Unfortunately, thats the one thing the guy I bought this from told me. He has to do one of those recharge kits on the a/c each spring. Well I prefer to replace the compressor, condenser, drier ,etc. What brand did you go with? Did your evacuate and charge yourself?
DENSO FS10 model (because MotorCraft was a little too pricey). Got my uncle who is a retired mechanic to do show me/help me do the evacuate since he always has the right tools, and we charged it together. The A/C Compressor also came pre-filled with the oil.Unfortunately, thats the one thing the guy I bought this from told me. He has to do one of those recharge kits on the a/c each spring.
