Todays weather

We've been getting some snow the last couple days but not a lot and it has all been wet and sloppy. To wet and not thick enough to run a snow blower. So, it got shoveled. Especially since it is supposed to go into the single digits tonight. All that slop would turn into a solid sheet of ice if left alone.

Is that your backyard?
My parents backyard, but mine looks pretty similar, lol. I own the adjoining property to my parents.

It was foggy and 41 Monday morning, then reached 59. It is now foggy and 39. This afternoon is expected to be around 61, then warming up to the upper 60s by the end of the week, which is well above normal. The weather models are forecasting well above temperatures for most of the country.

Historic normal here is 55 days and 35 nights. But I’ve been living here for 50 years, and there’s no normal. They say if you don’t like the weather in Georgia, wait a half a day and it will change.

Actually, today will be 55/35, but then it drops about 10° on both ends for the rest of the week then we’re into the 60s next week Some rain predicted for tomorrow, but shouldn’t be too bad

Right now it is either 8 degrees or 10 degrees, depending on which app you trust, with a feels like temperature of either -4 or 0 and a high of either 17 or 19 degrees.

Either way, it's stinking cold.

I run into the same thing, but my mercury thermometer is usually more accurate than my bimetallic coil one.

And both of those, are better by far than my third app, the TV weather.

I have a thermometer on the porch but the lettering is too small to read from inside the house and I don't have enough desire to go out and see what it reads.

I have an app for that, too:

Get with the times, man!

Think that says enough haha. 19°F as of right now. Supposed to get up to 22° but that may have been high at midnight. I haven't looked at the hourly temps.

That's a nice picture (It's now one of my desktop backgrounds.), but why do you have 2 white lights on the passenger side and one on the driver's side of the roof bar?

It's hid by the awning at that angle. You can see it here

Today was supposed to have .01 to .03" of sprinkles this morning and make it up to the low 60s this afternoon. It was partly cloudy this morning and 46. We had light to moderate rain totaling .25" and it made it up to 55. For the rest of the week, low 40s in the morning and 60s in the afternoon warming to the low 70s this weekend.

Well, it was supposed to be 20s/40s here in Atlanta yesterday today and tomorrow after the rain left.

When I ran out a little while ago, it was a humid 28°, tiny wind, and brilliant sunshine. But that moist cold air went through you like a knife.

And we had pretty little snow flurries. Very light, but they were there.

I didn't read all 86 pages... I read a page or two and jumped in when I first had this come 4 or 5 pages ago so forgive me if I missed an earlier discussion, but do any of you guys use meteorgrams for your weather?
As an astronomer we want hyper accurate and hyper local weather so we can decide if it is worth spending a half hour loading up the telescope gear, driving for an hour to get to darker skies, half an hour setting up only to get skunked by clouds..... so much that several guys have created astronomer focused weather apps and sites...

Anyhow meteorgrams are a bit confusing for those who haven't gotten used to em but once you get used to em are just chocked full of all the info in little to no screen space.
