Hi all! I'm a lurker that decided to post something and was blown away with the help that I got from the nice folks in this forum. I'm from down South - WAY down south, in Southeast Brazil. I got my 95 Ranger, an 4x2 American 4.0 STX SuperCab, around a year ago, and I have been slowly fixing it - the previous owner definitely didn't take care of her. I call her "American" because the 94 and 95 Rangers in Brazil were imported directly from New Jersey, USA, and not manufactured in Argentina, as the 96 and onwards were.
I already fixed a bunch of stuff:
- shock absorbers
- headlights - from LED to the original headlight casings and lamps
- external rearview mirrors
- replaced a really bad third-party radio with an original tape deck, now fully functional
- put some Continental LX2 tires, with the 15' Explorer wheels
- head gasket
- all filters and fluids
- rewired the alternator
- refurbished the radiator
- in the process to replacing the air conditioning condenser, that was completely fucked up
- replaced the tranmission disk
- replaced the DPFE sensor and all EGR hoses
- exhaust collector gasket
- installed a third-party, more modern alarm system
- cooling fluid reservoir
And there's a lot of small stuff that I still need and want to do with it. Besides that, she runs like a dream, and I already hauled a lot of stuff for my dad farm. Thanks a lot, folks!
