My credo
Well, that didn't work. Let's try something else!
I'm transplanting the engine and harness from a 96 parts truck into my 83. I'd like to eliminate parts of the harness that I don't need/want. I removed the interior harness from the dashboard and am looking for a diagram that shows the various relays and modules along with their location in the dash so I can identify what I need and don't need. Something like this (Note: this is not a ranger diagram. It's one I pulled from google images just as an example):

i would leave it all.

Here is some for a 1996 ranger

Thank you! Those are very helpful!

i would leave it all.

I plan to use as little of the 96 harness as needed. I don't need things like the air bag module or the RABS module since my 83 has neither. I haven't decided if I'll use the 96 harness for the headlights and what not. A lot of that's going to come down to compatibility with the 83s dash controls and whatnot. I'd like to keep the appearance of the interior as stock as possible.
