It would be impossible for me to be the only 2000 ford ranger owner to have a drivers bucket seat hinge issue. As in the seat back will not stay upright. Finding replacement seats doesn’t seem to be economically viable. Any input is appreciated.

After disassembly I found two broken bolts. One on each side of the seat. They connect lower part of back rest to the spring loaded adjuster. Should be easily fixable. Seat foam and fabric is tired and gross. 25 years of ook. Not sure it’s worth it. It will have to do until I find a better option. It would be impossible for me to be the only 2000 ford ranger owner to have a drivers bucket seat hinge issue. If it's not too late, would you mind posting up a couple of pics of the break? After disassembly I found two broken bolts. One on each side of the seat. Thanks for the pics! that is helpful.I found some ford leather seats hopefully I can adapt them. I can deal with a bird on the headrest. Will post results either way.
Here is a picture indicating location of failed bolt. Also a picture of said bold and a one of the fragments I extracted from a the lower part on the backrest. New’r bolts from a wrecked donor ranger. Not sure of the size. This seems to be a week spot in the seat
Do you have dimensions for the broken bolt?Working on the very same problem today. 2000 Ford Ranger XLT.
Will have to try to find some donor bolts myself.
Any one happen to know a part number by chance?
Ford dealer not too far from me, I'll be checking them before I stand in the Georgia heat at the pull-a-part.
Maybe I'll get lucky.
