What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Situations like that are one reason I like the more "adult" airguns... I have a couple that will take out racoon or so without issue and you only hear the impact... a .22 or .25 pellet at 800-900fps is fairly respectable when you have 8-12 shots as fast as you can cycle the bolt and more air in reserve... great for around the house pest removal... . I do need to get more trigger time in, it's on the list of things to do...

I did some looking and on the '97 a bolt in cat is only like $255, might look into fixing it this weekend but that's less bad than I expected...

Haven't done anything with the '90 in like a week, gotta take care of the yard a bit first...

I have several larger caliber air guns and I have built a lot of 4.5/.177 and 22 air guns. I built a Crosman 1377 into a 22 cal carbine rifle that hit harder than a 22 magnum. That gun was scary and require 15-17 pumps to get that much velocity.

I got a 77 LTD II. Try finding anything but mechanical components for that.

I needa marker lens assembly...2 on ebay one for 750 one for 850.

I dont even know how those work. But i seen on the news one night someone made a house with one. It was in colorado i believe...kinda cool.

Depending on how good of one you invest in, there's nothing to really know. Plug it in and start printing. The difficulty is in creating the files to print. That's been my hang up. I have one of the cheapest budget printers you can buy. I can setup it up to get prety decent quality prints. I'm even in the process of rebuilding it in a stronger and better form, though currently stalled due to lack of motivation.

What I'm failing at is creation of the models I want to print. I don't care about little trinkets most people download and print. I want to make functional stuff. (IE: A din compatable radio bezel for my F-100 that looks like the stock shaft style bezel.) Thus far I have failed at trying to create even simple models. I think my main problem is I try to be too acurate on dimensions and none of the software I have access to (or tried anyway) is designed for that level of accuracy. Sure enough CAD programs are outside my price point (cheap to free).

I guess I'll need to break down and get a 3D scanner at somepoint to scan a model that I can tweak.

They're also ever expanding the materials that can be used in that style of printing. Getting closer and closer to Star Trek style replicator technology. In a way, I wish I could live to see the day. I'm sure we'll have a WW3 before then and screw it all up though.

Thanks, but the dash and radio and instrument cluster bezel is very different on the 73-79 trucks.

Check out fusion 360, it’s a 3D modeling software that is made by CAD. You can get a free license for hobby use. It’s designed as competitor to solid works, so it’s fairly high end.
Only down side is if you have an older computer, it can be slow.

Drove mine for the first time since Sunday. Had to replace the wheel hub and cv axle. The big cut on the axle is due to having to cut the hub off.
