I'll try to look tomorrow at mine... but like said above it could be the fresh air part of the PCV system or it could go to the charcoal canister... I know my crank vent hose goes to the plastic intake tube to a port vertical just behind the fill cap not out of the throttle body but someone could have put a different throttle in it.Had an early day at work so swung by my uncles afterwards and got the ranger buttoned back up (for now) thanks to a mild miracle I remembered where all my loose connectors and hoses are supposed to goooh.. I didn't re-attach the EGR yet I guess.. but..close enough.
It's impossible to get a torque wrench on the back drivers side valve cover bolt by the way.. dumb.

Wondering what this tube-y job is coming off the TB is and why its capped off? @scotts90ranger ?
That capped off line is supposed to go to a fitting on the valve cover. It's part of the PCV system.

Went to Armor Ditch for a few hours to check it out. I'll have to get some friends to come with me for the mud holes. Had to put it in the ketchup when I realized the mud wasn't frozen!

It's kind of nice not having to worry if I'm going to get fined by fish & game.
You can do a catch can between the TB and the valve cover. Stuff a little steel wool in there to give the oil something to catch onto. It won't totally eliminate oil mist in the intake but it will help. Remember to drain the catch can and clean it out at every oil change. Thanks guys, sounds like my setup is more like scotts.. I have the vertical port on my valve cover right behind the fill cap and it's got a hose that runs over to the intake tube kinda right next to the coilpacks.
Damn thing has ALL the blow-by too lol.. throttle body is grooosssssss.

This is awesome.. thanks for sharing. I didn't know this place existed.. it's now 'on the list'!
Have you been to Jericho mt in Berlin? Bit further of a ride from mass but its awesome.
The place is neat. The pub along the street owns the land so all the trails end up in their parking lot.
I have not checked out Jericho yet. It looks huge, but isn't open year-round. Seems to be about the same distance as Rocky Mountain which is also on the list.
That port on my throttle is plugged as well, probably the port for the flux capacitor, apparently we don't have one...Thanks guys, sounds like my setup is more like scotts.. That doesn’t matter, the 2.3L can’t get the truck up to 88 MPH anyway. That port on my throttle is plugged as well, probably the port for the flux capacitor, apparently we don't have one...
