Leds in halogen reflector housings are dangerous and actually leave you with LESS 'usable' light despite them being more powerful.

Agreed, the focal point of the LED bulbs is at a different location than the OEM bulb. So the reflected light is at the wrong angles and makes things worse rather than better. Especially for on coming traffic that will more than likely be blinded.
