TRS Event TRS 2023 Fall Adventure - Land Between The Lakes

I need to finish a few things in the morning and pack my stuff up. I haven’t even put my tent up and aired it out. I like to do that and inspect it before I leave.

Id really like to get a new tent that's easier and faster to put up. My tents about 20 years old.

Ill probably leave late Wednesday night. It's an 11-hour drive. 12 with stops.

I haven't packed either. I'm gonna throw all my stuff to gether tonight. I've got a project at work I've got to finish up. Should have it done to day or early I. The morning tomorrow then load up and head that way Thursday. The sooner I can get done at work the sooner I can head over.

After cutting the grass, I plan to get the roof racks on and the kayak. I’ll pack the rest on Thursday since it is supposed to rain that day. If all goes according to plan, I should be all ready to go Friday morning.

It’s a clear liquid that falls from the sky.

The forecast does look like a good one for the meet.

It’s currently 94 in Mt. Sidney, VA, with clear skies. It’s been between 96 - 100 the entire way. I figured it cooled down some, I should stop and get out of the truck for a few minutes.

@Uncle Gump and I are here. The air is hot, humid and no breeze. I hope it cools off in a while. I'm too hot and tired to mess with dinner. Just going to sit a little while before I put kitchen stuff in the gazebo or blow up my air mattress.

Oh, yeah. It rained here earlier today. My truck is currently stuck. I'll fix that after I unload the Ranger tomorrow morning.

2wd with LSD and fresh BFG All-Terrains aren't doing the job with that heavy trailer behind it.

I was setting up the Taj when @ericbphoto pulled in. I helped guide him back in his spot and he tried to pull forward and spun. They got rain here today and things are a bit greasy. Its pretty hot and humid... sweatin bullets putting camp together.

Highest temp I saw was 72*, ran with the windows up and just the fan on so my copilot didn't get too cold. Hopefully this front follows us.
