TRS Event Ford Ranger 40th Anniversary - Truck Nationals - Carlisle PA

Those of us who weren't able to make it, could we get a sticker?
Sure. Line up along I-81 between Lexington, VA and Kodak, TN on Monday morning (today) and I'll fling some out the window as I go by.

The steering wheel in TRS-2 is about 120 degrees off which made it interesting backing it into the space in the building. Carlisle Guy: "Straighten the wheel." Me: "Bro, I don't know where straight is."
Poor, poor Johnny. He's not used to driving old stuff.

Ha-ha-ha.

Well, I'm caught up on this thread.

Sitting on the curb outside my hotel in the middle of the night due to fire alarm. 22 minutes response time for the truck with flashy lights and, 10 minutes later, we're back in the building. 3:30-4:00am

I think you deserve an atta boy for getting your rig together. Way to stick with it. I'm sure it got a bunch of attention.

Thank you, sincerely. It has been a bunch of fun so far.

As I told the guys (probably too many times) who came, you guys and the silly projects and Lincoln my dog, we’re God-sends to me after getting hurt and sick, I was in a very dark place and this group gave me a foundation and tolerance to work out one of my weird visions, and execute, and then ride it around and enjoy it.

Sincere thank you

But you guys are weird….

Curious if Ford brought out the Ranger Raptor... didn't see any pictures.
No manufacturer representation that I saw. Only aftermarket companies like Skyjacker and Nitto Tire.

Did you all get the TRS stickers passed out?
There are a bunch left over.
We gave two to everyone we could. There were probably more Rangers at the Ford Nationals actually. Hard to tell because at Ford everything is grouped together and at Truck everything is kind of scattered.

I didn’t see any of the vehicle manufacturers having representation. Like Johnny said, it was just aftermarket vendors.

Most of the trucks there were full size or bigger. Maybe 1/4 of the trucks there were small trucks and the S-10 was better represented than the Ranger but there was next to no small Dodges there at all with a smattering of Nissans.

It took me the expected 5 hours to get home. I had to do some messing with the GPS settings to get it to stop trying to send me through Maryland. I had to change it from “fastest route” to “shortest route” in order to make it stop.
Somehow my GPS wanted me to get off the Turnpike and go down I-99 to Altoona and take Rt. 22. After I passed a couple exits it gave up and my ETA dropped by 25 minutes. I dunno.

What a great bunch of guys, great club, and what a great event. I’m truly honored you guys let me participate, and that you put up with me. Lincoln had a good time too.

I made it to my brother’s house in Jersey north of the George Washington Bridge about 5 PM. Thank goodness they go to bed early, I was totally spent. They have a pool, a nice one, and it’s one of the things I love, and I didn’t even have the energy to jump in.

Praying for everyone’s safe return. Thank you for the friendship and fellowship!
Thanks for making the effort to come. Your rig got us a lot of attention.

If Rick had entered into the judged field he would have one some kind of award.
There was constantly people drooling over it.

Jim has his truck back. I met him in Gatlinburg. Heavy traffic, narrow streets and no free parking lots. Driving my ship with TRS2 behind it was no easy feat.

That's why you were picked for the job. Imagine if a lesser driver had that task.
