First look at a 2024 Ranger

I would think reg cabs would really bolster fleet sales.

Depends I guess.

I would thing the only bonus of a single can for a fleet would be if it cost less. Other then that I doubt most companies would care either way.
Rental companies would want a crew cab no matter what.
Most other companies or government if imagine wouldn’t care or prefer super cab/ crew cab. Going to be using it as a runner instead of a full on work truck so bed size doesn’t really matter.

We care.

Basically, some employees are uh, "incorrigible," and like to do drugs and prostitutes in company pickups.

Single cabs cut down on this.

No, I'm not joking.

Keep in mind that the Ranger is built in the same plant as the Bronco so production is limited, and also keep in mind that Ford does not make a lot of money on the fleet trucks. They are going to focus on the profitable sales volume.

I agree that if they built a single cab, they would sell a very large number to fleet accounts. I'm not that optimistic that they will...

We buy around 70-80 new vehicles a year for our fleet. Ford currently won’t sell us Rangers, Escapes, or Broncos.

Not everybody is like you...

I bet you can get a one of those Transit Connects or Transit 150's pretty easy though. That's what Ford wants to peddle to the "fleet" market.
We're currently looking to replace the old '04 Econline 150. Boss wants a Maverick, but all he can find is Transits. No Stripped down Ranger's, but plenty of Stripped down F-150's and transits'

I was just talking to an HVAC guy and he was saying he was going to start ordering Mavericks instead of transit connects because it was taking so long to get the vans, and trucks were cheaper.

Same, but Mavericks are unavailable and Trransits are in stock in our area. You would think that the "state" would have a contract or something for fleet vehicles, but it's not that way at all. Allthough the dealer we buy from has to be "approved" by the state first. So we mostly use the local dealership and my boss is a Ford guy and looks for them first. He said his 4th option would be a Dodge Sprinter van, behind the Maverick, F-150, & Transit Connect/150. The Econoline 150 we have right now is overkill for what we use it for and is gettting long in the tooth, as far as state vehicles go. (155K miles)

I actually like the styling of that alot better then the current ones.

Actually when i was researching F150's the 2.7EB seemed to be the more reliable of the EB's.

Still wish they stuff a 5.0 in it...and the bronco. Or even a godzilla

I much prefer the styling of my 98 to any of the new ones.

IMO 83-88 and 98-2000 were the best looking ones built. The 89-92's looked kinda goofy to me and the 93-97's kinda look escortish to me.

Of the old Rangers, I like the 1st gen the best then the 2nd gen. The 1998 I had was ok. The 2011 is better. My 2019 doesn’t look half bad at the right angle and t the wrong angle looks like a car instead of a truck.

I loved the look of my ‘88, loved the 4.0 in the ‘93 I had. My current ‘94 I really like the retro styling I put into it, could use more squirrels under the hood though.
Neighbor has a new ridgeline, I think it looks like a accord with a cargo box on the back.

My company couldn't get Transits or anything. We got a couple F-150s that were from someone else's fleet order that weren't needed. A couple guys got the crappy RAM minivan. Now we have an order pending with Chevy for 35+ vans with no clue when they'll actually show up.

I like the looks of the truck in the first post and am going to look at a Raptor once a local dealer has one on the lot.

That's what they have the Maverick for now because it's so cheap.
Unless or until this one dies, I won't be getting a new Ranger unless they have a Supercab.
I simply don't need a full back seat any more (says the guy who drove Sport Tracs from 2005 to 2021) and I'd rather have a longer bed.
Otherwise I'll have to cave in and go with an Eff One Fiddy but by that time I will probably have moved. I like my Rangers and Tracs but also a One Fiddy won't fit in my garage or even in my driveway. Retaining walls on both sides, you might be able to pull it in but you won't be able to open the doors to get out.
