I can’t comment on how different it is from stock, the truck was less than a week old and had under 100 miles when I installed it.
As far as performance… Keep in mind, I had a 2020 3.5L Ecoboost F150 with a tune before this Ranger, I own a worked Mustang Cobra, and numerous other fast cars. The Ranger tune is ok. I’ve driven 1 nontuned Ranger and there was a difference. It seemed like enough to make it worthwhile.
There’s definitely a difference in the trans shifting. I’ve heard so much about trans issues in these trucks and mine has never had a single hiccup. I also have never driven the truck without warming it up for at least 5 minutes.
I treat my gas pedal like an on/off switch. I beat on this truck, I floorit all the time, I’ve set the cruise control at 96 MPH… I don’t really worry about MPG. You will need to run higher octane gas, I’ve only put 93 in since I got it.
The trans shifting alone is worth the price to me.
