Jerking and knocking sound

I have a 95 4.0 4x4 and when I let off the gas the truck has a jerking feeling coming from the resend. Any thoughts one what this could be?

No it’s only happening when I let off the gas and coast. Sometimes it does it when I’m at a steady speed around 40-45

Did you figure out your issue? Do you hear anything if you briskly go from reverse to a forward gear?

Abnormal shocks/noises when changing acceleration indicates something attached to the rear axle is loose and is hammering something when the pinion angle changes. Visually inspect driveshaft u-joints, shock mounts, sway bar end links, parking brake cables, leaf spring eye bushings.
