I get the check oil light on when I start my 2.9l v6 stx 89 ranger and rear antilock break light on too. Oil level is full.

Like the oil pressure pusher sensor?There's an oil level sensor on the driver side of the oil pan. Check that the single wire going to it is plugged in.

Drivers side.The oil level sensor is on the side of the oil pan, don't know which side on a 2.9L but it's on the drivers side on a 2.3L, it's not the same as the oil pressure switch.

The oil pressure sender feeds info to the gauge, the level sender controls the check oil light.I had the oil pressure pusher go and they said they tested it and it held oil pressure when it went to the shop
