it's putting up a fight for the last inch and a half. can't get the input shaft into the clutch disk.

this engine being a 2002 has an aluminum valve cover, which has a different sized nipple for the crankcase vent than my 2005 engine did. which is why I have a piece of heater hose stuck on it.
the tranny is still mounted at the rear. I'm going to move it back and set the motor on the mounts then slide the tranny back forward.

had to take the oil filter adapter off, way too much in the way during installation.
