@Uncle Gump @Dirtman @ericbphoto @Saddle Tramp @Roert42 & the rest of you mugs, thanks, thank you, for your prayers, or at least for putting up with me!

I just came in from the shop at 12:30. I had an energy I haven’t had in a couple weeks. UG, Your quick response, and your prayer, we’re definitely the catalyst. I almost didn’t go out, but then I did, I went out there and I plugged through and I got some things done, nothing of great significance. Much more important, you reminded me that it’s His plan, not ours, & life is what happens when we’re making plans. Some of you guys don’t get it, and I pray for you, but He works in His way and in His time. While I cleaned up trivial things and wired my 220v Chinese laminating machine, I cleared my thoughts. Oops, He cleared my thoughts.

I was raised Catholic, but for the last few years I have worshiped and studied under Charles Stanley at first Baptist Church of Atlanta, less than a mile from me, but that’s not the reason I go. Dr. Stanley is human as we are, and I think he was very hesitant to start in-person services since he was deathly ill for the year before last. But this Sunday he is starting live services again. I would have never known had I not looked online after these thoughts and this little interchange today.

If you don’t think He exists and if you don’t think His power is miraculous, I’ve even got the Redhead going with me tomorrow! That’s been a rough couple weeks too!

UG & all, thank you for your prayers, thank you for your faith. For you who don’t believe as we do, I pray for you, and if you’re a good soul, you’ll get it someday.

I poked a little fun at @Dirtman when he said “I love you guys,” but I hope he knows I sincerely share the sentiment, and I appreciate him and his faith!

No comments necessary, just my thanks and thoughts.

&, oh, I worked on the 87 light bars....

So mostly Sunday and a little bit today I worked on the Lincoln grill for that 87. I got it all together and I proved you shouldn’t do stuff like that when you’re bummed out, but it still made me happy, made me laugh at myself. I’m not going to send you guys a picture, so in case I don’t redo it, I’ll tell you later that that’s what I planned to do all along.

Didn’t do anything to it, but got bored and went on a shopping spree. Got a new dash cam/gps unit coming, new rear view mirror with temp, compass, and map lights, an onboard solar charge controller, new fumuto drain valve, new LED cargo light, a rivnut set to mount my ladder rack/camper shell to make it easier to swap between the two, a amber tow truck light, and a new fake alarm system.

So when I get home I'll have plenty of things to play with and install.

Big busy day for a guy that's starting to get old. Went across town to a trucking terminal and picked up my new tires. Then took them and the rims to the tire shop for mounting and balancing. Came home and unloaded. Then went to the truck parts farm (junk yard) and harvested a manual transfer case with shifter, linkage and front drive shaft - all came from a 89 Bronco II. Then came home and put the new wheels on the Ranger.

Time for a beer.

drove it to the jobsite (about 75 miles round trip), trying to get some miles on it b4 dyno-tune. check engine light popped on 3 code:, egr insufficient flow, bank 1 and 2 lean. it smells rich tho, and im getting about 9 miles to the gallon. could egr cause a lean reading or vice-versa?

Changed the oil, getting ready to put new ball joints in. With the speedometer now correct I know its getting 17-19 mpg. Not awful but not great, think it did a bit better with the 225/70’s than the 235/75’s that are on it now.

Last Saturday I swapped over the winter tires to the the summer set and wouldn't my luck be on my side and now they are forecasting 5-10 inches of snow now. I swear my luck is some of the worst out there. At least the GF is at the house over this time with a 4WD vehicle so I'm not stuck off of the hill when the stuff hits the fan this time. I still need to wash the truck and summer rims since the fronts are now on the rears with brake dust covering them, and a few finger prints sticking out like a sore thumb.

60°-65°-71°- 53°- SNOW!!! Anyone else want to live in the Berkshires? !@#$%^& weather here is just weird.

So far nothing special with any of them, the red one has been my transportation for the week and the only side note was using the tailgate for a workbench yesterday to work on my lawn tractor. Tomorrow and this weekend it gets put back to work again.

The only related thing going on besides accumulating more parts for the trucks was an idle thought about converting the red one to coilovers in the front. The one spring mount is pretty rusty and I haven’t been able to find a replacement in stock that isn’t stupid money so the next thought was well, what about build my own mounts and throw coilovers on the front. Unfortunately I know very little about coilovers and most of what I found involves ricers or conversions on torsion bar Rangers, which got me thinking about that with the green Ranger (like I need to add more to that project, lol), but doesn’t have anything really to do with a TTB truck....

Did some reading on the interwebs, my symptoms are leading me to a vacuum leak, im going to try propane to find it. Seems safer than starting fluid or some other spray..
