Yah, this was posted on LightningRodder.com last week. I was told this happened last year and was turned down. I signed it anyways. There is a link in the below linked thread to sign the petition.

I got a reply, the basis is that this was introduced last year and failed and hasn't been re-introduced.

The article talks about the act to protect motorsports, but provides no documentation of any specific legislation they're fighting against?

An ounce of prevention maybe... Creating a position before you actually really need one. You know some organization(s) are certainly attacking anything not green enough... or they don't agree with. I've seen it happen to hunting... trapping... shooting.

At this point in time... it's still business as usual. Who knows what the future will bring.
