Hey guys
Got a 88 ranger longbed 4x4 . I did a complete rear springs and shackles due to rust out.
about 6 months ago. everything new stock replacement. ever since the ass is jacked
way up. Question: this truck has 3 in blocks under the springs. Does this truck come stock with lift blocks? They were on the truck when I inherited it. This truck is all stock.

The 4wd trucks came with blocks in the rear from the factory.

The lift could be due to over the years the front and rear suspension have settled and since the rear was replaced bringing it back up but the front hasnt so it will still be settled.

Stock, 4x4 trucks came from the factory with 2" blocks. They have wings cast into the side to contact the bumpstop underneath the frame rail directly above.

If they blocks are indeed 3", then no those are not stock and that is why you have the ass end up in the air. No wings on these blocks.

If the blocks are 2.5" wide by 3" tall and have the factory wing, they came from a 2wd F150 and definitely arent stock from your truck.

So these blocks were never part of a suspension package/option for rangers?

I picked up both axles from a 94 ranger 4x4, and 94 front springs also seem taller (one coil) then my 1990 B2 springs.

94 front springs:

The rear leafs appear to be the same between the two...3-pack design.

Those are from a ranger with an edge package. I took the same off my truck when i lowered it
