Has anyone noticed....

Hell, I remember when gas was $0.99. I'm sure some members remember when it was $0.19

39¢ is the cheapest I can remember...per gallon...

It's been dropping by a few pennies lately here too...last I saw was $124.2 down from a high of $1.38 per litre or so...

thats due to credit card fees that stations must pay to allow some cards to be used at their pumps.

yeah, i know it. but it never used to be that way, atleast not here. its also because if they can convince you to come inside to pay, youll probably buy something while youre in there. a candy bar or a pop or whatever.

Down to around 3.86-3.89 here in Central Wisconsin, saw the same in middle of Iowa last week. I remember it being .22 per gallon, back when we used to go out country drinking and put on 200 miles a night, late '60's. Sure glad I lived thru them years and grew up (like hell).

Was that the one with Morgan Spurlock (the guy from Supersize Me)? If not I must be thinking of something else, but I'm pretty sure he has something out now somewhere along those lines...

0.25 per Imperal gallon.

Farthest back I remember is .79c a gallon.

$0.35 per liter of leaded gasoline. 1986.

I'm completely fogged about the time of the imperial to metric conversion...don't think I was even driving at the time (I had loaned/rented my car to someone for about 6 months)...the cheapest I can recall since the conversion was around $0.50 a litre...and that was only about ten years ago...

Niceeee... One person lightens up on prices, someone else is there with their hand open. Would be funny if the prez got to live on 60K a year and try to own a house, make utilities, and pay for gas. Bet your ass something would change then.

speaking of the house, was yours brand new?

i saw this too, and its been at 365 in one spot but mostly at around 375 to 380 around here. coolest thing iv seen so far is last weekend someone must of sponsored a cheap gas sale because in rockton iL it was on sale for 1.99, no joke hot ladys were holding signs and cops were directing traffic it was crazy

No, the original owner took ownership of it in June of 2006. So it was finished up in 2006. They lived in it for 18 months, until February of 2008.

Therefore the house was 2 years old. The base model home is still being built the next street over (last street) and they are going for $139,000. Ours has all the options, vaulted ceilings, den as opposed to a 3rd bedroom, cabinets to the ceiling, etc and we paid less than $100K for it because of a foreclosure.

Edit: Gas here today is as low as the $3.40's.

I saw it dropped to $4.11 today here.

Good deal on the house.I was asking because of the housing bail out bill, new home buyers whom do not make over $75,000 single,$150,000 joint get a maximum of $7500 tax credit. And its refundable.

The gas prices are following the oil prices...

Barrel of oil has dropped from $147 to $123 in under two weeks.

Gas in my area is now down to $3.62. Plus I get 8c off for speedway rewards...

I am suprised no one's talking about it. Or is it just my area dropping?

did you really say "The gas prices are following the oil prices"

:dntknw:....i for one never noticed or imagined it possible...thanks for the heads up.

Huh? I didn't get any credits from the government on my purchase. Or is this something I get back on my taxes this year. I could use $7500 in the dead of winter!?
