Has anyone noticed....

17K is a joke.
People who make 17K are rich in my opinion.

TRY 12K WITH ALL LIVING EXPENSES!!!!

I hope your serious, and not making fun at my family.

We really do only have a 17k a year income, to feed a family of three.
And we have to purchase ALL the equipment, tools, and fuel used at work.

man down here in maryland its 3.89 just went down from 4.05 in less than a week

How about that coffee...big crop devastation a few years ago and the price went through the roof...been bumper crops since then but the price never went down...

I don't think we will ever see anything come down except wages and elevators...oh, and escalators...

It hit 4.23/gal here, and stayed there for 5 weeks...Didn't even go up for the 4th of july, when it usually spikes. It has only gone down 4 cents in the last week.

60K is a joke.
People who make 60k are rich in my opinion.

TRY 17K WITH UTILITIES AND HEATING.

I don't make 60K myself, that is a combined income. We also now have a home mortgage of over $800 a month, and her stundent loans which are $550 a month... Plus all the other shit.

My point it, people are screwing us all, and no one wants to man up.

it hurts, all i drink is coffee.

low prices are a thing of the past, except when it's time to collect from my customers.

There was a show (or series) on that dealt with living on $5.00 (?) an hour or something like that. Anyone catch it?

Pretty sure I remember hearing about it... Never saw it.

I saw it. seemed like massive fearmongering. people said the world would end when gas went up to $4. yet we all still live. And it will be the same when gas hits $5.
the gas priced haven't changed much other than what the old timers bitch about. and it will continue that way

Hell, I remember when gas was $0.99. I'm sure some members remember when it was $0.19.

Was that the one with Morgan Spurlock (the guy from Supersize Me)? If not I must be thinking of something else, but I'm pretty sure he has something out now somewhere along those lines...

Are you kidding me? I remember when gas was only 2.50 around here. It wasn't that long ago.

perhaps I worded that wrong. what I mean is, the gas prices have risen, but the only thing that the rise has effected is the main topic of conversation. There are still just as many trucks around here, as well as cars with big blocks.

And I can remember when gas was about $1.50.

another thing i have noticed is that stations around here are listing a seperate price for cash vs credit. if you pay cash, it can be anywhere from .03-.15 cheaper per gallon.

thats due to credit card fees that stations must pay to allow some cards to be used at their pumps.
