Why the hell do you need a screen damn near the size of my first computer monitor?

They have really gone from "stylish functional" to "obnoxious"

Inventory isn't 'depleted' around here. Not sure what the marketing people are smoking.....

Maybe you have plenty of trucks there, but that’s not everywhere.
I stopped by my dealer a few weeks ago, they usually have 50+ new trucks on the lot at this time of year.... they had 4. Every dealer I talk to has a similar story.

Freehold Ford has called my wife every day this month asking her to trade her Escape in early... they can’t get enough new cars that they need used cars.

Inventory is depleted due to the plants being shut down more than people being bored and running out to blow $50k+ on a truck while there is a national pandemic going on and people are getting reduced hours and/or losing their jobs outright.

And the XL (what I would get) doesn't have the huge screen on the dash.

TVs in cars/truck are mandatory due to the government mandated backup camera. I believe that was lobbied for by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, because people are idiots and would accidentally back up over their kids.

I'll take a closer look next time I drive past a dealer. But a month ago, two of them were packed with full sized trucks. You could hardly find cars, much less Rangers. Who knows.....

Stop in and look... the front row is always loaded, it’s the rest of the rows that are empty.

The mirror itself gives a better picture. If people aren't going to look at the mirror or turn around and look over their shoulder, then they probably won't make the effort to look at anything else except Facebook. Maybe we need an automatic Facebook rearview camera app.

Heck, a couple weeks ago, I lost a mailbox due to some idiot looking at their phone instead if driving. Next time I have to replace it, I'm getting out the welder, a bunch of steel and a couple bags of concrete.
