I couldn't figure out what backlash was, or Wtf I am supposed to do with the security tag dye they sent with the rebuild kit, so there it sits till the engine is done.

Let it sit there a little while. But don't forget about it. Backlash is the "slop" in the gear teeth. Needs to be just the right amount. That is adjusted with the carrier shims after pinion depth is set. The yellow goop gets smeared on the gears when you're finished (or think your finished) to Indicate the wear pattern on the teeth and verify that pinion depth and backlash are set properly. Sounds simple. But everything fits tight. So it's a pain to keep pulling stuff apart, adjust shims and putting it back together and re-checking.

Brand new flywheel, centerforce clutch, etc off a 4.0. If you know of a bigger one, I'm all ears.

Since we are reinventing so many wheels how about we convert to a wet clutch?

OR... and this is a really tricky one... try 4lo.
