I’m from NJ... it’s not just the idiot in the BMW you have to worry about, the kid in the Sentra will do just as much damage.

Sweet Jesus, snoranger, you have my deepest sympathies. I am sorry you had to go through that. I did not mean to bring up any bad memories.

Most people nowadays don't pay attention when driving. They rely on the car to drive them for the most part. Sadly the car is probably still smarter than the nut behind the wheel.

It’s not a big deal anymore... no one was hurt and I got rid of that truck last month. So its all behind me now.
There was one positive that came out of the whole situation... I bought another Ranger.

@PetroleumJunkie412 , I assume if you're going to 5.5 psi, you plan on upgrading the injectors as well as tuning. What sticks are planning to run? Any tuners on the hook?

I pulled the trigger on the ModdBox kit while they were on the "out of stock" sale, so I should be getting the kit in 6-8 weeks. I'm just planning on going with 3.5 psi for now to give it a little low end grunt and a better feel at a 2500 rpm cruise, but I may want to play with the higher boost levels at some point. I was hoping to use HPtuners and try my hand at the tuning for it, but alas, they don't support the '01 PCM. I think '07-'11 is all they support. I wonder what would be involved in using an '07+ PCM in my '01?

I can never view this thread again... it's to tempting... and there will be Bronco's to be bought.

Correct on injectors and tuning if I go for the 5.5+. Not sure on what injector size yet.

Going to run the stock ecm at 3.5 psi for a while as well to see how it is. Not going crazy with this one like I am with my 2.9. If I'm happy with 3.5, I'll probably stay there.

Ot her part of my desire to keep it mild is that switching to a 2.3 duratec turbo or 2.3 EB has been considered if the blower knocks out the timing chain tensioners. I know yours are new, so youll probably be able to push yours harder than I will with mine.

When was that sale btw?? Still need to get their pulley kit...

Oh, and the pcm thing is a @snoranger or similar question. Virtually anyone here is way better with factory stuff than I am. My solution to tuning is to remove factory Pcms, sell them on eBay, and replace with standalone. So, I'm a terrible resource 😂

The sale ended Monday, but I had an email into them from last week so they honored the sale pricing. Aaron said that they had planned to run the sale longer, but had sold too many kits at the discount so they had to bump it back up. They actually gave me a huge discount to start with since he sent the invoice in CA$ instead of US$. Was saving me about $450 until he realized his mistake.

They still have some odds and ends on sale, but the kits and (unfortunately for you) the pulleys are regular price. I thought about getting their water-meth setup, but figured I could probably source it cheaper. Also thinking about a DIY intercooler similar to the one they discontinued. I mentioned it to him and he said he could answer any questions I had about it, but they quit offering them because almost everybody just went with the water-meth for cooling and octane boost.

You know....

I actually emailed @moddbox about upcoming sales back in February, and asked them to let me know if there was going to be another one.... They never replied. Hrumph.

Oh well. Guess I'll have one made.

Anyways.... Caster sent me the part numbers, etc for his intercooler setup:

Part number F6.1x8x1.25H-15E29-P1326-01

Why is no one making a blower setup like this for a Ranger?
