Hi
Just leaving some feedback here if anyone is looking to install this head unit. Disclaimer : this was my first time doing a radio install.
I bought the Scosche kit for my 07 Ranger XLT which came with 2 plastic mounting plates and a cover/filler piece.

That kit doesnt really fit the unit, it feels like the front of the unit is way too shallow than it should. The filler piece would sit forward of the unit by maybe a 1/4 inch which looks weird. I decided not to put it because it looks worse than without it.
I'm not planning to present my truck at a beauty pageant anytime soon so i left it with the 2 side plastic plates showing ...
Hoping that helps ...

@91stranger - Maybe I'm not understanding something specific about your question. Several of us have explained to you in the other thread what's required to make a double DIN radio fit in the bezel, including a link to a video. Is there a detail that you're still unclear on?

still, pics would help US understand a little more.

Thanks for the feedback - i'm considering getting this head unit. Is there a mounting kit that you would recommend then, given that the Scosche kit wasn't a perfect fit?
