Rear main seal tips and tricks

With my plans to swap auto to manual the rear main seal of course will be included.

I've looked at a few youtube vids on and finding it's quite entertaining to watch some of the ways it's done! :icon_confused::shok:

The 4" PVC "driver" seems a very common approach. I question the diameters needed since I have a wood lathe with chuck and I could "machine" plastic for the size needed.

Just wondering what ya'll have done and what I need on hand when we finally do the deed.

i just use a wooden hammer handle, or a wood handle of any sort really to get it started, then softly go around tapping it with a socket.
