5.0 SCT Tune options

Then change the ZIP to the closest large city to your location and see what's around. Once you know where they are, you can contact them and see if they'd be willing to help, maybe even through email tunes so you don't have to make a bunch of trips back and forth.

Also, concerning Speedy Dyno, I've spoken with a couple of people close to Greg@ Speedy, and they both said that the business is still going strong. They've recently joined up with a local Ford dealer, and I think they moved locations, but it sounds like they're still around.

I don't want to sound like a broken record but he did a great job for me. 88,000 miles and running great,

I contacted 5 star tuning about my 99 explorer 5.0 and even though it's not listed on their website they said they would do a tune for me no problem.

Just got off the phone with Josh at 5-Star. Ball is rolling, should have the first tune Monday. :icon_bounceblue::icon_hornsup::headbang::yahoo:

After playing Tag with Fred for 2 years, its nice to finally be getting somewhere. It seemed like every time he was ready to get started, I would have a CEL pop up. Then, by the time it was fixed, it was either snowy and truck was put away, or he was busy and un-reachable. Guy does awesome work (I originally bought my X3 from him for my 3.0), but he is hard to keep in contact with in my experience.

Howbout a link as to where you contacted him and curious as to his fee?

I would like to know too I've looked and looked

this link was on another thread here about a fellow needing help - but thought it might be relevant to this conversation as well. Site looks pretty promising, for some "remote tuning" services:

OK, I didnt want to post any info until after I waded into the tuning waters.

Awesome job. $160 gave me a base tune, we data-logged a couple times, made adjustments, then he sent the final product. HUGE difference. Runs 100% better. Heck, the base tune was better than the previous finished tune.

You want to talk to Josh, he is the one familiar with these explorer computers.

Sorry I left it hanging so long! I spent several hundred miles on the base tunes and subsequent adjustment tunes hunting for issues to iron out. The delay was on my end, his turnaround is within a day or two after he had all pertinent information from me.
