My little bro has a 90' GT Fox Body, Unfortunately, it's 4 lug....
I beleive they came with traction lok 8.8 31 spline axle shafts, could I take some exploder shafts and put them in there to get 5 lug on the rear? Same width?
What about the front, maybe some rotors off a newer stang?

I know there are conversion kits, but they run 4-500 bones....

no 28 spline. you can use ranger axles though.... i think you have to upgrade the front spindle, calipers to a '91, at least i think its '91? it could be '88+ though, i cant remember. you have to do that in order to fit the bigger rotors that come with a 5 lug.

To keep the stock rear wheel offset and drums, the '83-'92 Ranger/Bronco II Left (driver) side axle (29-5/32") from a 4cyl or 3.0L V-6 with the 7.5" rear end, or '86-'97 Aerostar RIGHT side axles (29-5/32") is what you want. The pumpkins are also off center unlike the Mustangs, so you will have to find two vehicles to pull axles from! You will need the drums from either of these vehicles also if you are staying with rear 9" drums. The 7.5 axle Rangers & Aerostars use 9" drums. These parts are direct 5 lug replacements for the stock 9" rear drums on the 79-93 Mustangs. The 4.0 rangers will also work even though they have 10" drums. You just need to swap the 9" drums over. The rotors from an 83 2WD ranger will work for the front rotors, or look for an SN95 car and get the front spindles, rotors and brake off it and that should give you your 5 lug swap you need.

u will need to take the right side alxes from a ranger with a 8.8, u will need 2 of these along wiht the drums and whatnot, thats what u do in the back, in the front im not sure

mhughes the right side axles are too long, you need the short side which is the left.

x2

but for the front on a (i think '90 or older) dont you need to change the spindles regardless? i think the '91+ had bigger brakes, and you need those spindles.... so i thought, but maybe im wrong?

You wold be correct on the brakes, but make sure you have the brakes from the V8 cars as they were the ones with the bigger brakes. I know alot of them are upgrading to the SN95 spindles and sealed bearings for a better brake caliper and larger rotor.

Thanks for the info guys!

On my way to the scrapper this weekend!
