I know how that goes...

Took a vacation day yesterday to work on the Ranger. It was a productive day, just not on the Ranger haha.
Took my son to daycare, about a 30 min drive, then stopped in at the Jeep dealer to get a front plate bracket for my wife's Wrangler. They forgot to give me one. Got that installed. Then I got on CL. Bad idea... Found a nice 60 gal compressor. I have been wanting one. So off I went and picked that up. Got back around noon. Came home to my father in law working on my lower level that I am renovating. He was bored at home. Got the new compressor hooked up then my friend called. He has little mechanical skills and was trying to change his carrier bearing on his 04 Cummins. So he came over. That took some time. But I did start to get my current arms off haha. Then I had to pick my son up from daycare. Day over. But going to get back at it today. Those arms need to be 80% finished today.

New vs old

Now I can actually use my air tools!

With my old compressor, that lift would barely life a bare D60

I NEED one or those lifts, but I need an air compressor first.

Progress. Drivers arm is fitted. Passenger arm... well i started it but realized the trans cross member is in the way. So i will need to make a new one of those.

looking good!! :icon_thumby:

Just read the entire build, loving it. Looking to do the same to my ranger but with 1 ton full widths.

I have to finish welding my arms. I also bought some 1/8" plate. I am going to need to box my frame where the arms mount.
I also had to ditch the trans cross member. So I will have to figure something out there.
My current shocks definitely will not work. I will probably rig up an extended mount just for the March wheelin trip.
I will also need to weld some tube in the coil towers because I know i am going to have a lot more droop. Will see once I get everything attached and test the motions. Adding the tube will also allow me to install a bump stop. I have been running without one. Oops

Arms have been fully welded. Just need final fitting and paint!

How long are they from center of the mounting hole to the inner most part of the "C"?

They are 43" from the flat to the joint hole. So about 40" from the inner part of the "C". I might have made these too long haha
